Hello, I am Saidul Alam Rahat
I turn raw data into self-service platforms — building the analytics systems behind a global prop-trading firm, so teams get answers without waiting on a person.
"I may lose everything tomorrow — but what better thing can I do than keep trying!"
I'm Saidul Alam Rahat — Manager I, Business Intelligence at FundedNext, one of the world's fastest-growing prop trading firms. I lead the BI team: setting the roadmap, architecting the stack, and moving the function from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-led decision support.
My path wasn't typical. I studied HRM, pivoted through business development, and found my thing in data — specifically the part where you take an ambiguous question like "why did revenue drop?" and turn it into a clear, visual answer that changes how people act. I built the self-service tools first as an individual contributor, then got asked to lead the team building them.
Along the way: cut ad-hoc data requests by 80%, reduced reporting cycle time by 30%, and ran a retention analysis across 581,000 users that surfaced hidden behavioral segments with significant estimated impact (specific figures are confidential; numbers shown in case studies are illustrative reconstructions, not actual disclosed values). Recognized as a "data visualization maestro" by NEXT Ventures with the Invent & Simplify award.

Every request starts with a business question, not a query. From alignment through discovery, definition, and build, nothing ships unless it's tied to a metric that matters.
Trace the request back to the business question it's really asking. Half of "can you pull this number" turns out to be a different question once you ask why it's needed.
Find where the data actually lives, how clean it is, and who else has tried to answer this question before — and how they defined their terms.
Write down the metric definition before writing the query. If two teams would calculate this differently, that gets resolved now, not after the dashboard ships.
Cross-functional coordination, sprint management, and clear tradeoff decisions that keep the team aligned and shipping fast.
Analytics reviews, retrospectives, and continuous product evolution driven by real user data and outcomes.
